A truck radiator is one of the most critical components in your vehicle's cooling system, yet it is often neglected until problems arise. Proper maintenance can extend radiator life by 50% or more and prevent costly roadside breakdowns.

1. Check Coolant Levels and Condition Weekly

Low coolant levels are the leading cause of radiator failure. Check your coolant reservoir weekly and top up with the manufacturer-recommended coolant mix. Pay attention to coolant color — if it appears rusty, cloudy, or has particles floating in it, the system needs flushing and replacement. Never use plain water as coolant, as it promotes corrosion and scale buildup.
